Elevator Door Fault Case | Not Always What It Seems

A Mitsubishi GPS-2 traction drive elevator showed door reopening during closing—mainly after long idle periods.

After ruling out safety edge and light curtain issues, the real cause was found:

➡️ Encoder bearing resistance

➡️ Loose shaft connection

➡️ Pulse loss → door logic error

Once cleaned and lubricated, the issue disappeared completely.
